When we figured out that the OpenAI ChatGPT developer API could not handle our needs and was lacking in complex features and the ability to fully manage our infrastructure in the way we want, we decided to switch to Microsoft Azure services (Azure OpenAI). The switch was not difficult due to the APIs being almost identical. The depth of functionality, customisability and the ability to micromanage all our servers and deployments, truly brought our project to the next level.
