@sarensw Curious: does it work well with external drives too?
FileFillet
@masump FileFillet detects when external drives (like flash drives or network drives) are not available and will grey them out. As soon as they become available again, you can transfer again. I added this behavior after some users feedback a year ago.
@masump @sarensw Does FileFillet support integration with cloud storage services like Dropbox or Google Drive, or is it limited to local and USB drives?
FileFillet
@masump @marko_filirolin When you have installed the Finder extensions from these services, you can add them as regular folders. So upload will work. There is no direct integration right now.
minimalist phone: creating folders
You came in just in time. I am moving my invoices from one folder to another, and have a mess in the files. You created it for people like me! :D

@busmark_w_nika I did! 😉
Elisi : AI-powered Goal Management App
Just gave FileFillet a spin — finally a tool that respects the sanity of power users on macOS! 🔥 The fact that you can quickly move/copy files without the clutter of Finder chaos is such a relief. Global shortcuts + favorites sets = streamlined file flow, especially when juggling multiple projects.
Love the clean native Mac build too. Curious — any plans to support drag-and-drop from within the menu bar? That’d be a slick touch. Great work, Stephan! 👏

@williamrobertscott Hi William, thanks for checking out the app.
I actually considered adding this a while ago. But the menu bar can get pretty crowded, and the icons up there are small and not always ideal for quick interaction. That’s why I explored a couple of alternative ways to access the panel more directly:
When dragging a file, just press the Ctrl key — the panel will pop up right at your mouse pointer.
There’s also a small handle on the left edge of the screen. You can drag files there to open the panel — similar to how a menu bar icon might work. You can customize that handle in the settings (position, color, size, etc.) (check out the gif below to see it in action)
Interestingly, I’ve heard more often from users who want to remove the menu bar icon because they already have too many up there 😉. But your suggestion made me to revise the prio in my backlog on this. With the feedback from others I should probably spend some time on the settings of the menu bar icon.
